In contrast, racing boats have wing riggers. Of course, gig boats can also be fitted with wing riggers. Many manufacturers save on frames, but this can lead to problems with the long-term stability of the gig boats. At Baumgarten Bootsbau, we have therefore opted for the compromise of leaving out only every second frame.
